Red Deer & District SPCA is a proud member of The Canadian Federation of Humane Societies (CFHS). They are the convener and representative of the largest animal welfare community in Canada. CFHS advances the welfare of animals with a strong national voice by promoting the interests and concerns of animal welfare agencies to government, policy makers, industry and the public.
CFHS drives positive, progressive change to end animal cruelty, improve animal protection and promote the humane treatment of all animals.
CFHS tackles issues that affect a range of animals from companion to farm animal, and we stand alongside them in their efforts to create a more humane Canada for all animals. RDSPCA Executive Director, Tara Hellewell currently sits on their Board of Directors as a representative for our region.
